Just 1 hour from the Basque Coast and the Pyrénées, the Cœur de Béarn is a wooded region with unique views of the mountains. The Béarn hills have more than 400 km of marked trails.

In total: 46 walks and 14 mountain bike trails, 4 interpretation trails.

Some of our walks have been awarded the PR® ‘Promenades et Randonnées’ label by the FFRandonnée, giving you a wide choice of walks for your holiday in Béarn.

From the Jurançon vineyards to Orthez, these walks are suitable for families and experienced hikers alike (from 1 hour to half a day).

Located on the banks of the Gave de Pau, the Lendresse interpretation trail gives children the chance to appreciate the richness of the natural environment. This adapted, fun and accessible trail is dotted with picnic tables.

In Monein, the Histoire de Monein and Bois du Laring interpretation trails are easy walks to take with your children. They present the village's heritage as well as the flora and fauna of our forests.

Take on Orthez on the medieval Orthez trail. Like the knights who roamed the roads, the whole family can discover the most beautiful monuments of the former capital of Béarn.

The Vélosud green route offers safe family cycling along the banks of the Gave de Pau. This path is reserved exclusively for bikes and pedestrians, and offers beautiful views over the countryside and the Gave de Pau.

Looking for an original way to discover Mourenx? The urban interpretation trail in Mourenx reveals the history of France's last new town at 5 information stations, which can be viewed on the Coeur de Béarn Tourist Office's YouTube channel.
