The morning
Your day begins with a trip to the Orthez market to meet the producers.
This is your chance to pack a picnic hamper of 100% local produce! Seasonal fruit and vegetables, cold meats and cheeses. A real tradition, this market is popular with Orthéziens all year round. It's located in the historic centre, with the Moncade tower towering over the town..
Lunchtime
A 10-minute drive will take you to the Base de Loisirs d'Orthez-Biron for your lunch break. In a large wooded area, picnic tables sit alongside play areas, much to the delight of children. Treat yourself to a little siesta while your children take to the zip line and enjoy a thousand adventures while you wait for swimming time.
Afternoon
It's time to have a splash... so we're off to the beach with lifeguard surveillance. For the kids, there's swimming, pedalos and a waterslide. For parents, freshwater swimming and relaxing on the fine sand. The whole family can get together for an ice cream on the waterside terrace. Any energy left? The more sporty can try their hand at water-skiing, while the more contemplative can enjoy a stroll around the lake on the shady footpath.
