From woods to panoramic views
A round trip of some 14 km (about 3 1/2 hours) across the Laring forest, one of the largest in the Department. This is a place that is well known to locals for its cèpes and other mushrooms. There is a good height gain and you walk through shady oak woods to the top of the hills to admire the panorama of the Pyrenean chain.
The 3 chapels walk
From Arthez-de-Béarn, this four and a half hour walk crosses the countryside following history, from Chapel to Chapel. The countryside opens up onto views of the Pyrénées time after time.Orthez-Laqueyre
This three hour walk departs from the lake du Grecq in Orthez, crosses the 200 ha Laqueyre forest and offers numerous views over the Pyrénées. This is a very old path which the pilgrims to Compostella took from Dax to Orthez via the hill crests.
